The Project

Requirements:

Restoring flow with smart access and thorough jetting.

We attended a property where the downstairs bathroom had backed up due to a sewer blockage. There was limited access available to the sewer line.

Scope of work:

  • Used a high-pressure jetting machine via an existing inspection point and from inside the bathroom to attempt clearing the line.
  • Conducted a CCTV camera inspection and confirmed the blockage was caused by a build-up of toilet paper, combined with poor junction angles that restricted flow.
  • Identified that the blockage was located between the ORG and bathroom junction — restricting flow and causing backup.
  • After partial success, we discussed installing a new external access point (inspection opening) for better reach and future maintenance.
  • Completed installation of the new access point and left the system flowing freely.
  • Fully cleared the blockage using a jetter through the new access and re-tested the entire line from inside the bathroom to the main connection.

Outcome:

Blockage cleared, new access point installed for easier future maintenance, and the property’s sewer line restored to proper working order — all completed with minimal disruption.
